Aston Villa manager Gerard Houllier has finally put pen to paper on a three-year contract.
Houllier revealed earlier this week that he had not signed the deal, despite being named as Martin O'Neill's successor a fortnight ago.But he insisted there was no problem as an agreement was in place, and everything has now been finalised ahead of Sunday's game at Wolves.
Houllier's appointment was initially delayed because he had not been released by the French Football federation after resigning as technical director.Kevin MacDonald remained in caretaker charge until Houllier was able to take the helm for the first time against Blackburn in midweek.Villa began life under Houllier with a 3-1 Carling Cup victory and will now be looking for three points at Molineux in his Premier League match for six years.
