Roy reacts to Rijkaard rumours

SKY BET ODDS:
With Roy Hodgson's Liverpool future in doubt Frank Rijkaard is 4/7 to be the next manager of the Reds. Bet now.
Roy Hodgson has laughed off speculation suggesting Frank Rijkaard is to replace him as Liverpool manager.
Pressure is mounting on Hodgson after a dismal start to his Anfield tenure which has seen England's most decorated club marooned in the relegation zone of the Premier League after seven games.
Ahead of Sunday's clash with Blackburn Rovers, rumour has been rife that Rijkaard is on the verge of replacing the Englishman after he parted ways with Turkish outfit Galatasaray earlier this week.
But Hodgson has put the rumours down to the former Barcelona coach's representative, Perry Overeem, who is trying to generate interest in the Dutch tactician.
The former Inter Milan chief told The People: "Frank Rijkaard has just been sacked from Galatasaray - he must be a great manager to have been sacked by Galatasaray!
"What you are talking about is Rijkaard's agent putting his name around. It is all speculation.
"I had two-and-a-half years of this kind of thing when I was at Inter when, every day, there would be stuff in the newspapers that someone was going to get my job.
"If I took two-and-a-half years of that in Milan I can take two-and-a-half years of it here.
"It ended up with me being offered a new contract by Inter when I left for Blackburn.
"The doom and gloom that surrounds us is not coming from within the club, not from me and not from the players - it's coming from people outside who are having a field day and delighting in the fact we are having a bad time."
