Spurs receive Defoe boost

Jermain Defoe has returned to full training with Tottenham following his long injury lay-off.
The England striker underwent an ankle operation in September after sustaining ligament damage whilst on international duty.
He was initially expected to be sidelined for three months but has been making good progress in his recovery.
Defoe recently revealed that he had set his sights on a possible return to action against North London rivals Arsenal this Saturday.
And he has now handed manager Harry Redknapp a much-needed boost by completing a session at Spurs' training ground for those players not involved with their countries this week.
It remains to be seen when Redknapp will decide to call on Defoe again but the manager will be delighted see him regaining fitness.
Tottenham have struggled for goals in the absence of Defoe, who finished top scorer at White Hart Lane last season with 24 in all competitions.
Redknapp has changed his system in the meantime, playing new talisman Rafael van der Vaart off a lone striker.
Spurs have also had to contend with injuries all season and Tom Huddlestone was this week ruled out until February with an ankle problem.
