Mancini happy to win ugly

Manchester City manager Roberto Mancini was happy to win ugly at Blackpool but he will not be content with second position in the Premier League.
Two goals from Carlos Tevez and one from David Silva gave City a 3-2 win at Bloomfield Road as their hosts, who scored through Marlon Harewood and Gary Taylor-Fletcher, were always playing catch-up.
The match was surrounded in controversy, with Blackpool boss Ian Holloway less than impressed by referee Phil Dowd following a harsh defeat for his 2009/10 Championship play-off winners.
And Mancini admits that his team were not at their best, but the Italian was pleased to see his expensively-assembled squad grind out three points to move behind only defending champions Chelsea in the top-flight table.
He told Sky Sports 1: "Sometimes it is important to win like we did today.
"Today we didn't play well. It was important at the end that we scored three goals. It is not easy to score three goals away from home."
Mancini has previously labelled Chelsea as the favourites to win the league this season but he would not be happy to settle for a runners-up slot.
When asked if he would be satisfied if City remain second for rest of the season, he said: "No.
"I think that we must always play for the top, because we have good players and a good team."
