Bond fears Wilkins impact

Tottenham assistant manager Kevin Bond believes Chelsea's decision to part company with Ray Wilkins could have a negative impact on the Blues squad.
The Premier League champions and FA Cup holders made the shock announcement on Thursday afternoon that Wilkins was leaving with immediate effect after being told his contract would not be renewed.
With former Blues No.2 Wilkins regarded as an integral member of Carlo Ancelotti's staff and believed to be held in high regard by the Stamford Bridge squad, Bond fears the decision is likely to have angered some players.
He said: "I never like to see anybody in that type of position, who's got such a close affinity with a football club, leave the club.
"I'm sure there'll be a lot of people upset about that - and quite rightly so - but you have to get on with your job.
"People in football do know that change is the nature of the game to a degree as well."
Bond has been Harry Redknapp's right hand man at Spurs for just over two years and insists the role is a crucial one.
"I think it's important for the manager, to support him, bounce ideas off him, somebody who he can trust," he said.
"Somebody he can beat up from time to time! Management in the Premier League is a highly pressurised job and I think you need to be able to speak to people you can bounce ideas off, people who think perhaps the same way you do or similar to you, who don't always agree with you, because you can't have that."
And Bond admitted bust-ups between coaches are inevitable, revealing he and Redknapp have had more than their fair share.
"Oh my God - we have plenty of rows," he said. "But once you've had a row, that's the end of that, you put it to one side and then you get on with it, so there's no grudges or anything.
"You do have differences of opinion. Harry's very good at listening and taking in all of the members of staff's opinions. He'll take it all on board and make the decisions himself."
