The 27-year-old suffered the injury in Saturday's clash with Blackpool and had to be taken off by Mick McCarthy on the hour mark.
Steven Fletcher came on in his place but could not inspire Wolves to a comeback as they went down 2-1 at Bloomfield Road.

He will therefore miss a number of crucial games leading into and around the busy festive period, as Wolves desperately try to pull clear of trouble.
McCarthy's side have lost four in a row and are currently five points adrift of safety, with only West Ham keeping them off bottom spot.
