The Croatia international has slipped down the pecking order at White Hart Lane this season, leading to speculation over his future in North London.
Kranjcar moved to quell the rumours by insisting he was ready to fight for his place, an attitude which comes as no surprise to his manager.
Redknapp is delighted with the former Portsmouth schemer's work ethic, but admits his hands are tied somewhat with Gareth Bale in excellent form and Rafael van der Vaart becoming one of the first names on the team-sheet.
Redknapp told Spurs' official twitvid page: "I love Niko.
"Gareth Bale's been playing so well: what can you do?
"Niko likes to play off the left, really; he's not so happy on the right.
"You couldn't meet a better boy and he's a fantastic footballer, good pro, just gets on with it. If they were all like Niko, it'd be an easy job, this.
"He comes out every day, wants to work. He's not a problem."
