Redknapp laughs off Young link

Tottenham manager Harry Redknapp has used humour to dismiss reports that he has tapped up Aston Villa winger Ashley Young.
Spurs have been linked with the England international in the past and speculation has resurfaced after it was confirmed that the player has put contract talks on hold.
On Friday, Villa boss Gerard Houllier refused to rule out the possibility that Young had been the subject of an illegal approach.
It has been reported that Tottenham are still tracking the 25-year-old, but Redknapp has rubbished the suggestions with tongue in cheek.
The Tottenham boss said: "I'm tapping him up - I've been round his house a couple of times. We've done the deal; he's okay."
Adamant Tottenham had "never" made an illegal approach for Young, Redknapp also indicated his interest in the player is at an end.
"We've got Gareth Bale - what would I do with him (Young)?" he said. "I can't get Niko Kranjcar on the pitch; he's a fantastic player.
"What am I going to do with another left winger, give myself another headache?
"I'm strong in those (wing) positions: I've got Aaron Lennon, got Gareth Bale, got Luka Modric who can play off the left. It's hard enough as it is."
Redknapp added of Croatia midfielder Kranjcar, who has not started for Spurs for almost seven months: "I feel sorry for Niko.
"He goes and gets three goals for his country in two games and I can't get him on the pitch."
