Toffees boss David Moyes has confirmed he would love to sign the LA Galaxy midfielder if the opportunity arises.
But the 35-year-old former England captain, who has had loan spells with AC Milan during the American league off-season over the past two years, insists his main priority is to stay fit after suffering a ruptured Achilles tendon injury in the build up to last summer's World Cup.
Beckham told Sky Sports: "I'm just trying to keep myself fit and get my fitness back from obviously the injury that I got seven months ago.
"So I'm just trying to make sure my body's in the right condition and then I'll think about it but I haven't decided anything yet."
But the veteran is determined to keep playing the sport he loves - for now.
"I'm not ready to finish playing football yet," he confirmed.
Beckham also shared his thoughts on the country's upcoming bid for the 2018 World Cup, which Fifa will vote on next week, along with the venue for the 2022 tournament.
"There's still strong competition (for 2018) as well - obviously for 2022 there's Australia and the US as well that are going for it, so two great countries that can host the biggest sporting event in the world.
"So whoever gets it, its going to be a great tournament."
