The Togolese forward has been quoted in the Belgian press saying he is set to move to Juventus on loan in the winter, admitting he is frustrated under Roberto Mancini at Eastlands.
Adebayor has long been linked with a move to the Turin-based outfit but it remains to be seen if he will complete a switch in January - as the Old Lady have already signed one non-EU player this season in the form of Milos Krasic.
Manchester City have rejected claims that a deal has been done already, but his days at the club appear to be numbered.
The 26-year-old striker, who arrived at City for £25million from Arsenal last year, has failed to earn a regular place in Mancini's starting XI this term, with the Italian preferring to go with Carlos Tevez up front on his own.
Adebayor is known to be frustrated at his lack of opportunities and he has only started two Premier League games since August.
Even a hat-trick in the Europa League against Lech Poznan failed to earn him a regular spot in the team and it now appears that should City receive either a reasonable bid - or loan offer - Adebayor will be on his way.
