Big things are expected of Roberto Mancini's troops this season and, despite a promising start to their league campaign, they have now suffered back-to-back defeats.
That has led to question marks regarding a possible dressing room split along with players being unhappy with Italian tactician Mancini's stewardship.
However, Vieira, who is City's most experienced campaigner, is playing down the reports by stating everyone wants the same thing - winning the Premier League title.
Dips in form and allegations over dressing room harmony are nothing new to the former Inter Milan and Arsenal man and he just wants his team-mates to start believing in themselves again.
"We have got character in our team - Carlos Tevez, Emmanuel Adebayor, Yaya Toure, Shaun Wright-Phillips," said Vieira.
"That's why I'm not worried at all because everybody is here because we all have the same objective and that is to win the Premiership.
"And the only way we can win is by being altogether and we understand that.
"It's a difficult period because from the outside, everybody is trying to create this negativity around the football club. That happened when I was at Arsenal and Inter Milan.
"What's really important now is that as a football club and a team, we are really strong together, believe in ourselves and go out and win games because by winning games, we will keep peace."
Vieira claims players have argued in every dressing room he has been in and he thinks City can turn this anger into a positive by tapping into it to end the club's 34-year wait for a trophy.
"Whether it's Arsenal, Juventus or France, of course players argue, that's part of the game," he continued. "I don't know any big football club where they don't have character in the dressing room.
"Character makes you win. Character makes you go forward. All this stuff we've seen and heard over the last few days about City, I think it's something positive because it will make us improve. It will make us win trophies and it's good that it's happening at the moment."
